We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.

Rachel (Chelly) groeide op in het gezin van Abraham Cardozo en Marijtje Serlui.

Zij had een tweelingbroer Machiel die in Sobibor wer vermoord.

Zij werden meestal "broer" en "zus" genoemd i.p.v. Machiel en Chelly.

Zij leerde Mordechai (Max) Leon kennen, de beste vriend van haar broer Mozes (Mau).

Mordechai Leon en Rachel Cardozo zijn op 8 oktober 1926 in Amsterdam getrouwd.
