Isidor Meier was a son of Asser Meier and Settchen Simon. He married in Beurig (Germany) on 16 January 1910 to Sophie Meyer, who was born in that municipality, daughter of Leopold Meyer and Jeanette Zimdörfer.
The couple had a daughter Edith, who has survived the Holocaust but not her husband Otto Weil.
