Emanuel Henriques de la Fuente was the second child of Jacob Henriques de la Fuente and Benvenida Engers. He was born on 11 June 1892 in Amsterdam and married there Jette Pool on 4 September 1919, a daughter of Daniel Tobias Pool and Clara Roodenburg. Jette was born too in Amsterdam on 9 November 1892.
