Juda Swart was interrogated at the Singel police station on 18 June 1935, having been accused of ill-treating the notorious leader of a gang of NSB thugs in Heck’s Lunchroom on 26 May. He was defended at trial by the lawyer François Pauwels, pleaded guilty, and was ordered to pay a fine of 25 guilders or alternatively to serve ten days in prison.
