Hertha was a musician in Hamburg, where she was born. This photo was taken of Hertha in 1922 in Berlin and was sent to her friend/fellow musician, Heidl Hochfeld in Hamburg. Heidl, her husband, Ernst, and their 2 daughters, Lili and Annette left Hamburg and came to the U.S. in 1938. They settled in West Hollywood in a beautiful neighborhood lined with trees and gardens. Annette Hochfeld passed away in December of 2016 at the age of 90. I found this photo in a shed behind the family home. If you know of any surviving relatives of Hertha, please contact me. I would like this photo to go to her family.
