Dat Jacob in Auschwitz zou zijn overleden klopt volgens mij niet. Op de archiefkaart in het Stadsarchief Amsterdam staat Sobibor als overlijdensplaats. Dit klopt ook met de transportlijst zoals die is opgenomen in het boek van Jules Schelvis over Sobibor. Op diezelfde archiefkaart staat zijn beroep trouwens aangegeven als diamantslijper.
