Abraham Waterman was a son of Alexander Waterman and Marianne van Velzen. Alexander (who passed away in 1937) and Marianne (who have survived the war) had five children of whom Isidor, Schoontje and Emanuel have survived the Holocaust too, but not Salomon and he himself.
Abraham married in Amsterdam on 10 March 1937 to Helena de Jong, daughter of Goedman de Jong and Kaatje Ensel.
