Jacobus Coezijn was a son of Philip Coezijn and Vrouwtje Poppegaai. He married 26 August 1914 to Mietje Mok, daughter of Maurits Mok and Saartje Lierens. The couple had eightteen children together, of whom only Vrouwtje and Jozef have survived the Holocaust.
