Manuel de Lange, zoon van Hartog Jozef de Lange en Martha Muller, woonde met zijn ouders en zussen Rebecca Zippora en Helena Manuella sinds eind October 1934 in de Plantage Kerklaan 11 in Amsterdam. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 6957/8199).

In the NIW item "Unique Pictures of Mrs. de Lange", mrs. H.M. de Lange tells the story that when she walked to the swimmingpool behind the Linneausstraat with her brother (16-18 years old) during the war, they were stopped in the street. Her brother had the exact age for the "Arbeitseinsatz" and he was taken in. It concerned Manuel de Lange.
