Hijman van Kleef

Hijman van Kleef joined the Hollandia-Kattenburg textile factory in Amsterdam on 17 January 1938. On Wednesday, 11 November 1942, around 4:30 PM, Willy Lages conducted the Sicherheitspolizei raid on the Hollandia factories. We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.

Hijman van Kleef was voor de oorlog links-socialist. Hij was achtereenvolgens lid van de AJC, het Socialisties Jeugdverbond en de Bond van Revolutionaire Socialisten. Hij was familie van Rosetta van Kleef (1891-1942) die met de vader van het SJV-lid Sal van Dam trouwde.
