Martin Blumenthal

Martin Blumenthal was the husband of Sientje van West, a daugher of Hartog van West and Bloeme van West-van West, to whom he was married in Amsterdam on April 16, 1942. Sientje survived the Holocaust and emigrated on December 12, 1947, together with her sister Clara van West and her husband Hubertus Le Clerq to Johannesburg in South Africa.

Actual date of death: 08.09.1942: Auschwitz Death Books, Yad Vashem. Martin B. emigrated from Berlin in the 1930s. His Parents Markus (18.02.1875) and Gertrud nee Löwentstin (16.09.1876) were deported to Riga on 05.09.1942, where they perished. (Bundesarchiv Gedenkbuch).
