About Karel van der Horst

Karel van der Horst was a son of Simon van der Horst and Betje Levi. He married 27 April 1900 in Smallingerland (Friesland) to Reintje Turksma, a daughter of Izaak Turksma and Froukje van Leer. The couple had seven children, of whom three children have survived the war. Their other four children, Meijer, Alida, Simon and Izaak have been killed during the Holocaust.
