Early April 1945, prisoners from the concentration camp Bergen Belsen were transferred to concentration camp Theresienstadt. One of the three trains used for that purpose, was liberated near Tröbitz by the Russian army. Many occupants of the train did not survive this journey.
Selma Hertzberger-Roos died on the 25th of April 1945 of exhaustion. Two days after the liberation of the train.
