Salomon Abraham Bloemhof, born 20 August 1863 in Maassluis, was a son of Abraham Bloemhof (1834-1925) and Cato Reeder (1827-1888). At the age of 24, he married 11 January 1888 in Amsterdam the 34-year servant maid from Amsterdam, Roosje Ossendrijver, a daughter of Moses Jonas Ossendrijver and Judic Benedictus Bak.
