Aan het begin van de oorlog leefde Samuel bij zijn ouders aan de Dintelstraat 47huis. Rond 29 augustus 1941 duikt hij onder, maar wordt opgepakt. Op 20 April 1943 wordt hij naar Westerbork getransporteerd. Op 27 April 1943 naar Sobibor, waar hij drie dagen later wordt vermoord
