Mietje Rodrigues Parreira was a daughter of Abraham Rodrigues Parreira and Jetje Brandon. She was the eldest of six children and was born on 30 September 1898 in Amsterdam. Her siblings were Ester, Hendrika, Judith, Aäron and Benvenida.
