Nathan Velleman

Nathan Velleman, a merchant, was married. He and his wife had a child. The family lived in Amsterdam. As a resistance worker, Nathan Velleman was a member of the Comité voor Vrij Nederland. He established connections with England. On 1 March 1941 he was caught in Amsterdam and held at the prison in Scheveningen. He was deported to Auschwitz via a few German prisons (Rheinbach, Siegburg).

Nathan Velleman werd in 1941 ter dood veroordeeld wegens spionage. Later werd de straf omgezet in een levenslange tuchthuisstraf. In 1943 wordt hij overgebracht naar Auschwitz. Het tuchthuisdossier op naam van Nathan Velleman, waarin ook de processtukken zitten, bevindt zich bij het NIOD, archief 214, inventarisnummer 1326.
