NB Er waren 10 kinderen. Ik heb er hier 9 toegevoegd. De 10e: Sara, geboren november 1889, kan ik hier op joodsmonument niet terugvinden, maar ook in stadsarchief Amsterdam vind ik haar alleen terug op 2 kaarten van de familie, en geen archiefkaart van haar als ouder persoon. Ook in het yad vashem archief vind ik haar niet terug.

Benjamin is een zoon van Jacob Abraham Philips en Rebekka Korper. Hij trouwde 20 april 1921 met Margaretha Appelboom (26 jaar, winkelierster van beroep), dochter van Simon Appelboom en Johanna Roos.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 5502) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for looted jewellery (S-claim, number 18/38).
