De fabrikant Willy Serphos (*Enschede 31-10-1906) woont op de Nieuw Keizersgracht 26bhs. Hij verhuist naar de Statensingel 469 in Rotterdam. Hij is getrouwd met Sophia Serphos de Wit (*7-7-1912). Samen hebben ze een zoon Marcel (*4-8-1938). Hij komt samen met zijn voruw aan in Westerbork op 26-8-1943. Op 31-8-1943 gaan ze op transport. Volgens medegevangene Roodveldt is Willy Serphos aan typhus overleden eind 1943 in Warschau.[1]

Willy Serphos was the son of Mozes Serphos and Bertha Rosendahl. Mozes Serphos had a textile factory in Enschede. Willy opened a textile shop in Rotterdam.

Achtergrond van de familie Serphos

De huidige familie Serphos c.q. Serfhos te Enschede ontstond aan het begin van de 19^e eeuw met de broers Salomon Urias en Nathan Urias (later Serphos genoemd) afkomstig uit het Duitse “Flecken” Anrath/Anroot (nu Willich) gelegen nabij de grens van Duitsland met Frankrijk.
