Selma Schimmelpfennig was a teacher and governess for the children of Nathan Loeb and Lina Rubens in The Hague. Later she married Moritz Loeb, a younger brother of Nathan. From 1895 they ran the business 'De Bazar' on the Amsterdamse Veerkade in The Hague. Moritz Loeb passed away in 1932.
