As far as is known, Salomon Szapse Schachner was a young businessman who understood his profession. Salomon spent his youth in Poland. He grew up in a middle class environment as the son of Jente Berglas and Abraham Saul Schachner. Salomon was most likely their only child. At the age of 15, Salomon moved to Vienna to live with his uncle and aunt. He followed an education to become a shoemaker.…
