Samuel Querido

Abraham Querido, born 13 May 1889 in Amsterdam, was a son of Abraham Querido and Ribca Morpurgo. He was married 21 October 1914 in Amsterdam to Marianne Roeg, who was born 19 February 1894 in Amsterdam as daughter of Samuel Roeg and Elisabeth van Bever. On 22 and 23 Febuary 1941, raids took place in Amsterdam,  in which 390 Jewish men were arrested and deported. Only two of them survived. A recent investigation has shown that more than 100 men were gassed in Hartheim Castle, while Mauthausen was established as the official place of death.
