Barend de Leeuwe

Barend de Leeuwe was a son of Hartog de Leeuwe and Engeltje Slier. He married Sientje van Minden on 10 October 1883 in Rotterdam, a daughter of Iaac van Minden and Mietje de Jongh. The couple had nine children, of whom one girl was stillborn and five children have died only a few months after their birth. From the other four children, presumably Joseph, Hartog and Maria might have survived the war…

Adres : In het R’damse Adresboek van 1939 vinden we in het stratenregister op Aleidisstraat 82b een B. de Leeuwe, tevens het adres van K. Bobbe (zijn tweede vrouw had een zoon Karel).
(In het namenregister staat hij als B. de Leeuwen, z.b., maar dat is kennelijk een zetfout: hij staat tussen anderen met de familienaam De Leeuwe).
