Tobias Feigenblatt

Tobias was a German refugee. He arrived in the Netherlands on December 8th, 1938, with his brother Leo. After having lived with a family for a while he went to the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven in April 1939, after which he moved in with his parents, who were also in the Netherlands. In March 1940 he went to camp Westerbork, with his parents.
Tobias was deported to Auschwitz on July 15th, 1942.

Parents of Leo & Tobias Feigenblatt

Their mother Rosa née Eisenberg and father Hune Heinrich were deported on 04.09.1944 to Theresienstadt and were liberated there on 08.05.1945. They emigrated to Australia and were living in North Brighton / Melbourne in 1964. Their daughter Bertha (1923 in Ruhrort) also survived Theresienstadt and emigrated to Australia. Tobias Feigenblatt zat samen met zijn broer Leo in het eerste transport naar Auschwitz van 15 juli 1942. Zij behoorden tot de groep van 100 'Alte Lagerinsassen' van Westerbork die voor dit eerste transport werden geselecteerd.

Bedankkaart voor 'Barakkenmutter' Erna Weiss-Falk, moederdag 1942

In het archief van Josef Weiss dat zich in het Ghetto Fighters House bevindt, zit een kaart die door jonge Duitse vluchtelingen in kamp Westerbork aangeboden werd aan zijn vrouw Erna Weiss Falk.

Josef en Erna Weiss hadden de barakken met jonge Duitse vluchtelingen onder hun hoede, voor wie zij als ouders waren.
