Abraham Slager

Abraham (Harry) Slager was a son of Gerson Slager and Betta Spits. He was arrested and deported in 1941 because of his openly expressed anti-German sentiments. He had two children with his first wife Sophia Jacobs (who died before the war), who survived the war. With his second wife he had his son Max.

Vanaf begin jaren dertig verschenen in het Twentsch Dagblad Tubantia en Enschedesche Courant vrijwel wekelijks advertenties van het woningbureau van makelaar-taxateur Harry Slager. 

In diezelfde krant stond op 25 mei 1920  een familieadvertentie t.g.v. het overlijden Trijntje Jacobs-Spits, de tante van Harry (zus van zijn moeder). Vier jaar later trad hij in het huwelijk met Sophia Jacobs, dochter…
