Wilhelmina Alwina Gompertz-Cahen died on 30 January 1943 at the age of 83 in Westerbork camp. She was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Assen on 3 February 1943. Her body was reinterred on 11 March 1943 in the Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam.
