Pienas Jacob Levie was a son of Meijer Levie and Bertha Elekan. He married his cousin Wilhelmina Levie on 10 May 1917. Wilhelmina (known as Mina) kept a kosher kitchen. The couple had a son Meijer and a daughter Sophia Bertha. The daughter attended the secondary modern in Hellevoetsluis.
