Levie Kahn was deported to Auschwitz in 1943. Probably because of his ‘Jewish appearance’ he was selected for an anthropological inquiry. Together with 85 other prisoners he was brought to Natzweiler where he has been murdered ‘for scientific purposes’. Het werkkamp in Ellecom/Jodenkamp Palästina/'SS-Schule Avegoor'       

De benaming 'Jodenkamp Palästina' zou een spotnaam zijn van de Duitsers voor het Joodse werkkamp te Ellecom. Deze benaming werd echter ook gebruikt door de Joodsche Raad van Amsterdam in een brief van 18 september 1942 aan het Gemeentelijk Bureau van Sociale Zaken in Amsterdam.
