Marianne Waterman-Hakker

Marianne Waterman-Hakker worked in a sewing atelier during the war. Because her employer also accepted orders of the Germans, she had a Sperre for a period of time. In September 1943 her hiding place was betrayed.

Marianne Hakker trouwde in Amsterdam op 22 februari 1928 met Nathan Waterman. Jetje Luza (1866-1925), haar moeder, was toen al overleden.
Salomon Barend Hakker (1878-1943), haar vader was op 17 maart 1926 getrouwd met Betsij Maandag (1891-1945).
Betsij Maandag is familie van mij.

Nathan Waterman and his family originally lived in the Lekstraat. During the war, they were forced to move to the Van Oldenbarneveldtstraat, located in the West of the city and away from the rest of the Waterman family.
