The Lion family owned a tannery at 156 Steenstraat, that was run by Maurits and his brother Joseph. His twinsister Theresia (Trees) ran their household.
They were the children of Levi Lion and Rosetta van Leeuwen.
Betsie Cohen and Rolf Blankenstein were employees living with the family.
