As a child, Sophia de la Mar moved from Amsterdam to Hilversum together with her parents. Years later, she moved back to Amsterdam, where she married Samuel du Mosch. Their marriage lasted ten years. When Sophia died in Westerbork, her urn was placed at the monument at the Beth Haim cemetery in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel on February 22, 1944.
