The mayor of Wisch requested that Alfred Wolf, tailor, be located, detained and brought to trial. He was living in Terborg and had changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Jacob Wolf and Henriette de Winter

Jacob Wolf of Silvolde was married with Henriette de Winter of Gendringen. In October 1941 Jacob was deported to Mauthausen and killed soon after. His wife and two sons Alfred and Nico went into hiding in Silvolde and neighboring villages. Henriette and her son Alfred were picked up during a raid. Henriette died in Auschwitz in January 1944. Alfred died in January 1945 at an unknown place. Nico survived and emigrated to Australia.

Bertha Tobias and Asser Wolf of Silvolde had four children. Their third child was Jacob, born on December 15, 1892 in Silvolde. He married Henriette de Winter. She was born in Gendringen on April 2, 1898. Their son Alfred was born on September 24, 1924 and son Nico on October 29, 1925.

Bertha Tobias Wolf passed away in Silvolde on August 7, 1927 and is buried at the old Jewish cemetery of Terborg…

Op 11 december 1942 worden door de Arnhemse politie aan de Izaak Evertslaan 17 zes Joden aangehouden. In de nacht daarvoor had er in Arnhem een grote razzia plaatsgevonden.
