An old friend remembers the following story. Eduard Frank worked before and during the war as an electrical engineer at the Philips factory in Eindhoven. He was deaf, but he could lip-read very well. De naam van Eduard Frank komt voor op een monument van Nederlandse slachtoffers van het kamp Reichenbach (de ‘Sportschule’, een buitencommando van Gross Rosen) in het Eulengebirge in Silezië.

Eduard Frank wordt op 8 mei 1896 in Amsterdam geboren. Hij is getrouwd met Adele Biallosterski met wie hij twee dochter heeft: Emmy, geboren op 27 mei 1923 en Tine, geboren op 15 februari 1926. Beide kinderen zijn geboren in Eindhoven.
