Margaretha Swart

Margaretha Swart was the ninth child of Jesaja Swart and Saartje Levitus. She was born at 10 Valkenburgerstraat in Amsterdam. After completing the Jewish school on the Valkenburgerstraat, she worked as a maidservant. Because her parents thought she would be safer, they allowed her to move to the Paedagogium Achisomog, part of the Apeldoornse Bos. She moved to Apeldoorn on 1 March 1942.
