Doortje van Cleef was a daughter of Simon van Cleef and Judith Polak. She married in Amsterdam on 1 December 1926 to Samuel Zoute, a son of Mozes Zoute and Rachel Prijs.
Her siblings, who have been killed also during the Holocaust were Abraham, Mozes, Rebecca and Joseph.
