Clar Aronson was a daughter of Samuel Aronson en Kaatje Peper. She married 1 May 1935 in Amsterdam to Levie Peereboom, a son of Gerrit Peereboom and Mietje Vischschoonmaker. The couple had one son: Gerrit.
Clara was born in a family with ten children; one brother emigrated with his family to Johannesburg and three children have died as babies. Her other siblings were Juda, Adriana, Mozes, Philip and Abraham. They have been killed all during the Holocaust.
