Alida Spier, born in 1869 in Dordrecht, was a daughter of Hijman Hartog Spier from Middelburg and Dina Blauw from Rotterdam Rotterdam. The Spier family moved in 1880 from Dordrecht to Rotterdam where 25 October 1899 Alida married Levie Hartog, a son of Simon Hartog and Saartje Abraham Meijer. The couple had two children, namely Simon Hijman in 1900 and Dina in 1902, who both were killed in the Shoah.
Alida had a brother Herman David Spier, who was married to Selina Koster and they had four children. They were all killed in the Shoah. Alida has had also a sister Hendrika, who was born in 1871. She died in childhood in 18789 in Dordrecht.
Alida's husband Levie Hartog passed away 22 May 1917 and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery Toepad. Alida has lived afterwards at several addresses in Totterdam. Het last known address was since 29 April 1937 de Claes de Vrieselaan 75a. There she lived in with her daughter Dina and her husband Louis Frank.
Alida Hartog-Spier deceased at age 73 in Rotterdam 5 January 1943. It is not known where she has been interred.
