Biography

About Hartog Schijvenschuurder.

Hartog Schijvenschuurder was the youngest and still at home living son of Isidorus Schijvenschuurder and Sientje van Praag. He was a raincoat maker by profession and was carried off to concentration camp Vught on 16 March 1943, together with his sister Sara Gans-Schijvenschuurder and brother-in-law Jacob Gans. However, Hartog was deployed as forced labourer in the  Aussenkommando Moerdijk, (extern command), where he had to stay in barrack 2b. On 3 July 1943 Hartogt and his sister Sara and brother-in-law Jacob were transferred from Vught to Westerbork, where he stayed in barrack 57, waiting for his deportation. On 6 July he was put on transport to Sobibor and on arrival there on 9 July 1943, Hartog Schijvenschuurder was immediately killed there.
