About Hartog Schijvenschuurder.

Hartog Schijvenschuurder was the youngest and still at home living son of Isidorus Schijvenschuurder and Sientje van Praag. He was a raincoat maker by profession and was carried off to concentration camp Vught on 16 March 1943, together with his sister Sara Gans-Schijvenschuurder and brother-in-law Jacob Gans. The "Aussenkommando Moerdijk"

The only German-style concentration camp that was set up in our country was concentration camp Vught, which was opened in January 1943. The camp had a number of “Aussenkommando’s“ (satellite camps) including Moerdijk. This command was located in the old barracks of the anti-aircraft artillery near the harbour.
