Mozes Abas

Mozes Abas was a son of Jozeph Abas and Judith de Vries. Mozes Abas was a merchant as well as a diamond cutter. On 29 March 1905 he married Alida Morpurgo. The couple had fourteen children.

Mozes Abas was a diamond-cutter and sold miscellaneous goods. He was married in Amsterdam on 29 March 1905, to Alida Morpurgo, the daughter of Mozes Morpurgo and Judith Beugeltas. The two of them lived in Amsterdam with Alida’s parents and then moved to Rotterdam. Mozes Abas died in Mauthausen.

Mozes Abas en zijn zoon Arnold werden op 13 maart 1942 op verzoek van de Sicherheits Polizei ingesloten in het politiebureau Rotterdam. Mozes' arrestatiekaart vermeldt 'verdacht van asociale handeling'. Op 1 mei werden vader en zoon getransporteerd naar [concentratiekamp] Amersfoort en vandaar naar Mauthausen, waar ze niet lang daarna stierven.
