Hijman Polak was a son of Barend Polak and Elisabeth Prijs. His father died in 1940 Rotterdam, a few months before the outbroke of the war. His mother had died already in 1926. Hijman Polak was unmarried, worked as a presser and stayed at various addresses in Rotterdam.
