About Emma Hekster-Vogelstein

Emma Vogelstein was the widow of Aäron Hekster. Aäron Hekster was a family doctor and served on the Veenendaal town council. He died on 30 January 1940. Emma Vogelstein left Veenendaal fairly soon after her husband's death and was deleted from the municipal register on 16 April 1940. She moved to 123 Frederikslaan in Heiloo, where her daughter lived. Bertha (Bep) Hekster (1912) was de dochter van Emma en Aaron, waar Emma bij introk in 1940 - en mee verhuisde vanwege de concentratiemaatregelen, naar de Chopinstraat in Amsterdam - dat was geen onderduik - helaas niet.
