Benjamin Cohen was a son of Joseph Cohen and Betje Salomon. He married 6 October 1937 in Amsterdam to Catharina Eijsman, a daughter of Israel Eijsman and Saartje van der Sluis.
Benjamin had two other brothers, who have been killed too during the Holocsuat: Heiman and Comprecht.
