Gertrud Grünewald was de weduwe van Georg Leichtentritt. Zij kwam in februari 1936 naar Enter waar zij hertrouwde. Gertrud had een dochter uit haar 1e huwelijk die de oorlog overleefde.

The mayor of Wierden requested that Marcus Samuël, poulterer, and his wife Gertrud Grunewald be located, detained and brought to trial. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
