Bella Hiegentlich

During the war Bella Hiegentlich had a relationship with a painter. There is a picture of a painting made of her in:

The original painting makes part of the collection of the Jewish Historical Museum.

Bella Hiegentlich komt voor op de plaquette van Kunstenaarssocieteit De Kring aan het Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen in Amsterdam. Gras Heyen was ook lid van De Kring.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 11876) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 5243/14488).
