Duifje Margaretha Schelvis

Duifje Margaretha Schelvis was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. She was 7 years old when she died.

The Schelvis family’s downstairs neighbour, whose husband was Jewish, managed to prevent the family being picked up in raids several times by stating that the house was empty. Eventually they were deported and killed despite her efforts.
