Keetje Mendels

The Tilburg police commissioner requested that Keetje Mendels be located. She resided in Tilburg and was suspected of having changed her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Keetje, ofwel Kitty Mendels, staat onder de Haeftlinge op de transportlijst Westerbork-Sobibor van 17 maart 1943 (NIOD_804_Inv_55.pdf). Zou dat niet moeten betekenen dat haar overlijdensdatum 20 maart en niet 30 maart is?

Emanuel Mendels was married to Martha van Engel. The couple had four children: Keetje, Catharina, Donald Emanuel and another child who survived the war. The family lived at 60 Goirleseweg in Tilburg.
