About Carolina Goldsteen-Mendel

Carolina Goldsteen-Mendel was the widow of George Goldsteen, who died in 1934. The two of them had a hat shop in Kohlscheid, which included a workshop employing about thirty people. The business later moved to Rheydt. Carolina and George and their three children came to the Netherlands in the mid-1920s. George Goldsteen opened a foreign exchange office in Vaals.
