The detail of Gerard Henri in respect of birth and death is correct but the wife mentioned here does not appear on my tree. I have Alida Spaanbroek who he married on 6 Sep 1916 and divorced 18 Aug 1930. According to my records he also married Emilia Valentia Goethals in Belgium 3 years later on 8 Mar 1933 in Belgium by who he had three children. I also have him as a 'colporteur' not merchant?

Hi Brian,
I am also confused by the 3rd wife. I can't find records that can confirm this. What surprised me is that Emilia Valentia Goethals is Catholic and her daughter Germaine Helene as well according to a record I found. How can she be deported? If you are interested I can send you a copy of the family record.
