About Isidor Engers

Isidor Engers was the son of Lion Engers and Naatje Hangjas. He married Marie Hooremans in 1919. She died in childbirth along with their fourth child.

Joseph Emanuel Hooremans and his family

Joseph Emanuel Hooremans was the son of Levie Hooremans and Naatje Waisfisz. At the wedding of his sister Marie to Isidor Engers, he met Dina (Dien) Engers. She was the daughter of Lion Engers and Naatje Hangjas. Dien had been living in Brooklyn, but moved back to the Netherlands to be married to Joseph in 1921. Joseph worked for the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics.
